$ # who is this person?
Hey, I'm Aldo. I write code, break things, fix them, and occasionally build stuff that works. Sometimes all three happen in the same function.
By day (and most nights) I tinker with Java, Golang, JavaScript, CI/CD pipelines, and LLMs. I believe in self-hosted infrastructure, clean tools, and making the web feel personal again instead of being a corporate billboard.

"If it's worth building, it's worth over-engineering at least twice."
"The best error message is the one you never have to write."
"A server logged in is a server loved."
This site. Served from a VPS, behind Cloudflare, hand-crafted with pure HTML/CSS. Zero frameworks. Zero tracking. One boot sequence. Yes, I wrote that terminal animation by hand.
The messy truth of my terminal. Neovim config with a combination of Lua hacks. Tmux sessions that breed faster than I can kill them. Zsh aliases for everything. The kind of setup that takes a week to replicate and I still do it every time.
Docker Compose stacks, Terraform experiments, and Ansible playbooks that either deploy flawlessly or nuke the network. There is no in-between. Runs on a single VPS because I like living on the edge (of my resource limits).
